Betty Lou Hébert
Betty Lou Hébert is 76-years-old and has written poetry since a young girl. She started submitting for publication in 1984, and to date has over 5,000 poems published in various magazines, books, and on the Internet. Betty Lou’s husband, youngest son and she, live in the country east of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, near a national forest. She says they enjoy their surroundings and the wildlife that they encounter. In the winter months, they feed the deer, raccoons, and wild turkeys in their area. In her spare time, Betty Lou enjoys reading and writing. She also likes to travel, hike, and do craft work, cook, and spend time with the rest of her family – an older son and daughter and their families. She is a ham radio operator and her call sign is W7EHE, although she says she’s not very active anymore.
